This year, the LOSC is participating in the July 1st parade.  Our float will carry one of our boats and have a pirate theme.  We are doing this to promote the youth sailing school at the end of August, and we will be handing out flyers for this program during the parade.  Starting at 11AM, the parade runs down Main Street in Osoyoos.  Come down and support the sailing club.  ARRR!

In the evening from 7 to 11PM, we invite all members and their guests to the club to watch the fireworks. Please bring an appetizer and your beverage of choice.  Hope to see you there!

The LOSC is offering a 5-day sailing program for children from August 28 to September 1, 2017, in cooperation with BC Sailing's Mobile Optimist Sailing School (MOSS). 

This program will provide the basics of sailing for children from the age of 6 to 13.  In a fun environment, students will learn launching, docking, steering, balancing, propulsion, boat safety and other skills.  By the end of the program, students will be able to sail safely on their own.  In addition, the program develops confidence and leadership in its participants.  Optimist dinghies will be used.

No experience is necessary, but participants must be comfortable in and on the water while wearing a life jacket or PFD.  Professionally-trained and Sail Canada certified coaches will ensure every experience is a positive one.

Starting Thursday, June 29th and continuing to August 31st, LOSC members who enjoy other naturally-powered water sports are encouraged to meet at the club at 5PM for an opportunity to participate in an evening of group activity.

Whether you're a kayaker, a canoeist, or a paddle boarder, you are most welcome to participate in the fun.

This is a great opportunity to meet other members and make lasting connections.

On Saturday, June 24th, from 11AM to 3PM, we will be hosting our annual open house and membership drive.  All members of the public are welcome to visit the club house and grounds. 

We welcome enthusiasts of all naturally-powered water sports, not just sailors.

So come to 8015 Spartan Drive, beside the Desert Sunrise Marina.  You'll not only see the many advantages of joining the LOSC, you'll also be pleasantly surprised by the affordability of membership.
